At FOLM, this is what we believe:
1.THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and infallible in its original writings. 2Timothy 3:16, 2Peter 1:21.
2. THE GODHEAD: We believe in one ever living, eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes, and purpose, in His absolute, individual deity. That this one true God has revealed Himself as Father in creation, through His Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in emanation. 1Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; 2Corinthians 5:19; Joel 2:28.
3.THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God incarnate, God in human form, the expressed image of the Father, who without ceasing to be God, became man in order that He might demonstrate who God is and provide the means of salvation for humanity. Mathew 1:21; John 1: 18; Colossians 1: 15. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal returning in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; Mathew 1:18, 23; Luke 1:34-35)
4.THE FALL OF MAN: We believe that in the beginning God created man innocent, pure, and holy, but through the sin of disobedience, Adam fell: hence by one man’s disobedience, sin entered into the world. Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12
5. REPENTANCE: We believe in repentance to God, confessing ourselves as sinners, receiving forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ and His blood atonement for sinners, witnessed by a definite change from sin to righteousness. Acts 17:30; 11:18; 2:28,39.
6.SALVATION: We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace alone through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. (Ephesians 2:1-5, 12). Christ’s death fully accomplished justification through faith and redemption from sin. Christ died in our place (Romans 5:8-9). We believe that salvation is being born spiritually into God’s family (John 3:1-7)
7.DIVINE HEALING: We believe Divine Healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Mathew 8:16-17, James 5:14-16)
8.THE CHURCH: We believe that the church, the body of Christ, is a Spiritual organism made up of all believers of this present age (1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27).
9.BELIEVER’S RESPONSIBILITY: We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers in Christ to share the good news of Jesus as savior and Lord of all people of the world. We believe we should do this in deeds of love and proclamation. We are therefore concerned about the Physical, Social, and Spiritual needs of all people (Acts 1:8; Mathew 28:18-19; 25:35-40; Mark 16:15-16).
10: RESURRECTION: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved: the saved to Eternal life with God in Heaven, and the unsaved to Eternal separation from God in Hell. (Revelation 20:11-15, 1Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2Thessalonians 1:8-10).
11.CHRIST’S RETURN: We believe Jesus will return to earth to reign. We believe that before Christ’s return, all genuine believers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and the world will experience a period of tribulation. (Acts 1:9-11; 2 Thessalonians 1:3-10; 1Thessalonians 4:13, 5:11; Mathew 24; Daniel 9:27, 12:1; Revelation 20:1-6). We believe in the physical resurrection of all human beings-the saints to everlasting joy and bliss on the New Earth, and the wicked to eternal punishment in the lake of fire (Mathew 25:46; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:5-6, 12-13).
