There is a growing need in Uganda that the provision of quality education and training is central to the creation of high-skills, knowledge and innovation-based economy for sustainable development. Education and training are also crucial to achieving the objectives of an inclusive society where all citizens have the opportunity and the incentives to participate fully in the social and economic life of the nation.
Despite education in Uganda being free under Universal Primary Education (UPE), hidden costs (such as uniforms, mid-day meals and school materials) continue to create barriers for children whose parents cannot afford them. Children are also many times discouraged from attending school by high levels of violence at home.
That is why Fullness of Life Mission steps in. We create healthy and strong learning environments and opportunities for orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) and youth by promoting their enrollment and retention in schools coupled with life-skills and building like vocational training centers for those out of school.
